Kevin Dyels is Mosaic's Chief of Interpreter Education and a 30-year veteran of the interpreting field. He supports our impressive Directors of Education Amanda and Bernice to mentor early career interpreters in their professional growth. Originally from Northern California, he earned his degree in Theatre from the University of Maryland and split his career between interpreting and interpreter management. Kevin is a long time mentor and supporter for emerging interpreters and presents interpreting workshops locally and internationally.
When not interpreting, Kevin coordinates interpreters for various conferences, theatrical productions and festivals, and works as professional disc jockey. He has held several interpreting Board positions including a current position on the board of Sonrisas Felices. This non profit organization has a mission to provide mobile oral health services, access to higher education, and employment opportunities to low income and differently-abled people across Central America, with a primary focus on Nicaragua.
Kevin enjoys international travel in his spare time and shares a cat named Sylvestre with his partner from Hong Kong.
