The Team

McKenzie stumbled into the interpreting world after seven years of teaching art.  She has worked as a scheduler since 2022 and loves the puzzle aspect of coordinating interpreters for various needs.  She also enjoys applying her creativity, advocacy, and teaching skills to the interpreting world while learning about the Deaf Community.

Outside of scheduling, McKenzie owns a small business, Mtn Laurel Studio, where she creates pottery, watercolor paintings and oil paintings. While not elbows deep in clay and paint, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog.  She is also on a quest to find the best tacos in the Richmond area.  The top contender right now is Tio Pablo, but she is open to any suggestions.
